I purchased a couple Manhattan Prep books, ETS's Official Guide, different phone apps, etc. yet I ended up using Magoosh's online application almost exclusively. I work full time and was only able to study after work and weekends. I was exhausted most nights after work before I even sat down to study... without the structure that Magoosh provides I would not have been able to be nearly as effective. I did not want to take the test more than once and my target was a 330. I scored a 331; what else can I say? Magoosh was literally a fraction of the price of the other paid resources. It has everything you need, trust me.

马戈什helped keep me on track, at a much lower price point than other test prep systems. I followed the one-month plan, and was happy to do small pieces of prep each day. While I couldn't keep up the pace with a full-time job (as the guide warned me), I still believe Magoosh helped me a lot. I learned general strategies (number sense, not looking at the verbal answers without my own answer), a sense for timing, and most importantly, I always had a plan to follow so I couldn't second-guess myself.

The videos lessons are complimented with on-screen pen work following along the script, reinforcing learning with both visual and audible stimulation – a proven method used for decades, and mastered by Magoosh. It helped me broaden my vocabulary but also focus in on words that were relevant to the test. The GRE likes to use common words with secondary meanings. Many of the flash cards included such words.

It literally helped in every way possible...my vocabulary improved, my reading comprehension improved, my math skills improved, etc.

The entire package is clear, crisp and concise, which is what a busy undergrad student needs. The course curriculum is no-nonsense, straight to the point. The exercises do not beat around the bush and are all specifically designed to prepare you for the actual test day.

I really only used magoosh for verbal because that’s the score that was most important for me. I loved the bite-size modules, practice problems, and the ability to move at a fairly rapid pace. I went from a 152 to a 164 verbal score in just under a month!

马戈什was immensely helpful for studying for the GRE. This was the first and only time I had taken the test so I wasn't sure how to prepare. I LOVED the feature that let you map out how to study - whether you were beginner/advanced, and the timeline you wanted to study - 1/3/6 months. I chose the beginner, 3-month course and did it religiously every day. I also used Magoosh's GRE vocab app that has 1000 common GRE words alongside the online program. These two were all I used in my preparation and I felt it was more than enough. Magoosh outlined what to do every day, and I did the practice problems on the videos, practice tests, etc. until I felt I understood the topic. I think Magoosh does have a lot of really challenging problems that prepare you for the hardest on the test, but it is good to remember that the entire GRE is not composed of those advanced problems. I also thought the explanation of why the answers were what they were was completely necessary for my understanding of each problem.
